Jonathan L. Stein received a Bachelors degree in Computer Information Sciences in 1990, and worked in the computer industry for seven years designing and developing client-server trading systems for three of the world’s top five stock markets. Thereafter he attended law school on scholarship where he served as Research Editor of the Law Review, and received academic achievement awards in Torts and Legal Writing. Mr. Stein worked for several years as a Litigation Associate at one of the oldest firms in New York after graduating from law school with honors in 2000. Finally he handled appeals for a distinguished solo practitioner before opening his own general civil practice.
In addition to legal services, Mr. Stein is also available to act as a Neutral in Mediation. He is a member of the ADR panel for the U.S. District Court of Middle Tennessee, and is listed as both a General Civil and Divorce Mediator (Specially Trained in Domestic Violence Issues) by the ADR Commission pursuant to Rule 31 of the Tennessee Supreme Court. Mr. Stein is a volunteer Mediator for the Tennessee Human Rights Commission. He is also available to lecture on Mediation techniques for Continuing Legal Education credits.
